So, how many more of us bought that first ever copy of Street Machine and can remember this ultimate street-legal strip car?

I can think of at least one member who'll be happy to see that Henry's alive & well. ;)

Oh yes indeed,if only I had the money,I so would :P

£35k,that's not that bad really for a car which is such an icon to a certain generation.

WOW!!!

My first ever time on the PC forum and I see Henry!

I got Street Machine and its sister magazine Hot Car for many years.

So many great cars in there. Does anyone remember the creations of Ray Christopher? He did the Rover V8 powered Model T cement mixer and the Chevy powered milk float among others.

And what about the other young (at the time lad)? First name Andy, can't remember his surname. He did Mini Ha Ha among others. Talented blokes!

I'm pretty sure Andy Saunders was on TV about 5 years ago in a Scrapheap Challenge style show where they were modifying unususal vehicles, like a hearse, ambulance etc.......or did I dream that?

Anyway, remember him doing a Kustom Volvo Amazon with canted headlights and he did that Imp that looked like it had been crushed under a steamroller, where the driver had to sit with thier head through the sunroof. Not sure how safe that one was!

Andy saunders - that's the bunny! From what I can remember he also did a bit of male modelling.

Local lad, I used to work opposite his workshop, and still see some of his creations around the area.

Retroman you mean
