As an aside; do French people have a right good laugh among themselves when they say the name of the car a bit too quickly? :oops:

I'm running a Mk1 at the moment and despite 170,000 miles on it, it's been 100% reliable and only has one tiny patch of rust. But it's lives in warmer climates without salt.

found a 2001 mr s? in torquay cheap but no mot, failed on emissions... aparently the engine blows oil into the cat & knackers everything up im still thinking on that one :D

If the engine is blowing oil out into whichever orifice that it is, I'd be VERY concerned about potential problems with piston rings or similar...
