Fuel Tanks straps DIY?

#1 Post by Mitsuru »

Has any body made their own fuel tank straps?
And what is the best metal to use for them, copper, alloy, stainless steal?

I'd think that what you make them from would have to depend on the construction of the car & existing tank; you don't want to use something that's going to react with anything around it & cause the mounts or tank to corrode.
…that's why Allegro will look as good 5 years from now as it does today.
If I was allowed a sigpic, this would be it

I spoke to the guys at Rycroft, who has kindly given me the new parts
number for them

K04495991 £19.90
K04495992 £14.69
both UK tax

It will save me time and effort and money to just buy them from the dealer
I'll call them in the morning and order them.
