ASKMID and the case of the invisible Pulse CDi

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Not yet, but in the meantime; here's something that certainly is:

Though they're probably listed on Askmid as brown Ryvita with sliced cucumber or something equally far from their real identity.

I'm having one now as it happens. Would you like me to describe the taste to you, or maybe upload a short sound file of the noise I make when eating them? 8-)

Mmm, so now I'm having another. This could well become a Hobnob marathon. :D

That's the problem with hobnobs, it is impossible to have one, you either have none or the whole packet!
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I would not normally have given something so modern the 'classic' tag, but in the case of the smart....

there may be some exceptions!

Tell me about it! I'd be 2 stones lighter were it not for the ridiculously moreish, biscuit-based confectionery.

 Let's look at the qualifying criteria:

Clean sheet design that didn't depend on anything already in production for its layout, its concept or its looks.
Loads of enthusiastic owners who - like me - didn't simply want any cheap to run new car but specifically want their Smarts and are prepared to accept their eccentricities as part of the fun.
Maintenance requirements that, although eye-boggling to anyone not au fait with electronic gadgetry, are actually pretty easy to meet on a DIY basis with suitable software and a smartphone or laptop with lead to allow communication with the car's several "brains". (I can hardly wait for mine to reach the end of the maker's warranty for that very reason!)
Hugely enjoyable to drive; think Isetta meets Imp meets mini with a touch of Transit van thrown into the mix for a laugh.
Cheap as chips to buy now, but people are already using them as weekend fun cars and looking after them with the future in mind.

Best bit for my - perhaps perverse - taste: Uses far less fuel than a Prius and Smart doesn't take itself anywhere near so seriously.
