Anybody collect Hornby Dublo / Triang?

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Anybody collect Hornby Dublo / Triang?

#1 Post by MG Mal »

I know a lot of people collect older model railways either for display or use, so thought I would check to see if there was any one on here?

I have a Hornby Dublo 2008 060 goods set with extra's for sale as im clearing out my "old collectables"
Also have a Trinag 060 Tank engine and some odd sections of "Trix" track.

I hate to say it, but eBay is your friend here! Unless the HD set is mint and boxed, it probably isn't worth a massive amount. After a quick check, eBay has a 2006 set on "Buy it Now" for £95.00, so I would suspect it would normally go for a bit less if listed in auction!!

The Triang 0-6-0s (Jinty?) have been worth little for a long time due to the large numbers made and various improvements over the years (Bachmann now make a very nice Jinty) and is worth around a fiver if in reasonable condition.

Typically, if you'd listed them last year, they'd have made about 10% - 15% more. Like most things I've sold this year, the market has slowed down a heck of a lot!
