Spitfire Mk IV ignition wiring

Many months ago my Spit went in to be painted, with all its wiring neatly labelled. Unfortunatley after nearly twelve month in a bodyshop the labels are unreadable. I need to wire up the coil, starter solenoid, ballst resistor etc, but in true I-dont-know-what-i'm-doing style I am rubbish at reading ...

If I leave it open I can see the issues with weather / rain / sun / snow etc, but if I cover it will the scratch the paint when the cover rubs the car in ...

Cherry Bomb!!

Heres another one for discussion. My Rover 3500s is currently completely standard. I'm considering changing the back box to a cherry bomb and the air box for two K&N cones. This is purely to bring out the best rumbles from the V8. I've done a bit of reading and the Cherry bomb seems like an ...

Best Fuel?

Hi,

Just out of interest, what do you chaps consider to be the best fuel for old motors? I currently run the V8 P6 on BP premium, 97 RON with a castrol fuel additive and octane booster. I've also got a '71 Spitfire that'll be back on the road next year. Thoughts? Suggestions? Criticisms? I'm open ...

Chrome V8 Rocker Covers

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where I can get a decent pair of Chrome Rocker covers for a rover V8? Come to that, a full dress kit would be helpful!

Thanks,
