windows have a channel connected to the bottom of the window glass and a kind of angled bar that raises when its wound up. I cant see how to take the runners off.
I think that i may try someone holding the glass whilst i wind and lube the channels with some silicon spray.

sticky rear windows
The Windows on my Simca are seized up there is a little play but I do not want to force them in case of damage. I have used penetration oil on the mechanism. and will continue to try.
there seems to be some rot one of the guide this could be a issue . and the side runners are made of a type of cloth ...

just managed to buy a tilter complete with wheels and a mig welder so hoping to get it over and start grinding out the rot this weekend

Hello I need to do some welding to my sills and floor panels of my 1959 Simca Aronde I have a bad back so rather than lay under the car i intend to tip the car on its side and do the work from a standing position; Looking at the car Tilters they seem expensive for what they are.
