Hi, just been fitting an electronic ignition system on my Rover V8, changing from the old points. rover v8 ignition
Hi, could anyone recommend a cheap electronic ignition kit for my 71' p6 V8. At the moment i've got the Lucas 35D distributor with points. Have tried the Accuspark kit but it didn't fit my early dizzy
Ideally i would like to replace the distributor assembly as well.

ACCUSPARK IGNITION HELP!
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of fitting one of these onto a Rover V8 or the like, seems like a pretty good kit but instuctions could be a bit better unless its me. I believe i've purchased the correct kit, a 35D8 which is stamped onto side of dizzie body but cant seem to work out ...

Got a spark right through to the spark plug but does seem to be weak, looking at the rotorarm the bakalite looks to be slightly damaged but electrode seems ok, points a bit pitted. I've a good mind to replace the whole lot tbh, the components seem relatively cheap.

Hi all, got a bit of a problem with my Rover V8, try as i might she just wont start. Got fuel (fresh) pumping through i know this because i undid the fuel pipe union just after the filter b4 it goes into carbs & turned her over. I've got a spark as well but nothing, shes not even trying...not even a ...
