The much looked forward to big day is here at last, i can now forget about Ham radio and its many facets.....leave the Escort alone for today.......
The excitement is so great i could not eat my breakfast.........wife is polishing the TV screen ready for the whole coverage of this super event...
even the girlfriend has combed her hair..........have prepared a large bucket of sand to stick my head into in case its too much for me.

Lol

Seems you have the same attitude to it as me, and many others on here!

P.S. - moved to "Off Topic" as this definately isn't anything to do with classic cars! ;)

I was all set to go; bike loaded up and then I discovered a hole in my tent. I have therefore decided to open the shop instead.

We're having a wedding, you're paying. You're not invited. Now run along and organise a street party in our honour. There's a good peasant.

Wife and girlfriend? :o I'm amazed you have any time for any other hobbies. You must have your work cut out keeping them apart. :)

Yeah, that's about the size of it. You have my vote for President of the people's Republic of Britain.

At least the whole street party thing seems to be a uniquely southern concept, so none of that bollocks to worry about up here.

Some of us probably knew that the original post was ironic. ;)

I've no problem with the Royal Family and well remember the lad's late mother's wedding - I mowed the lawn that day (our old house was a Vicarage, it had a BIG lawn!).

I suspect it might be more interesting if his father was king - so the lad would be next in line to the throne and the event might seem more significant.

I've done a load of washing, watched some TV (from 7:00 until I fell asleep) and have various chores to do before walking the dog (the tide is in at the moment). I had hoped to get more done on my sandblasting cabinet, though I've run out of boiler panels! However, my friend is having trouble with his TVR (fuel pump relay I think), so I will take the big tractor with some firewood in its loader bucket (they have fires in the garden for some strange reason) and spend a while laughing at his classic (that some reckon isn't as it's a 1995 car!). Hopefully he has the boiler panels he promised me last weekend!

I'm quite happy at the moment - the Freeview box's remote isn't working properly (and the dashed box cost me a tenner to buy last month!!). Once I get it on a channel that's worth watching, it stays there for the night!

The wife and daughter are glued to it....just a thought does anyone know if Prince Harry's father was invited?
