My classic is a 1985 FX4R with the 2286cc Land Rover engine, manual gearbox and has a broken speedo cable for which I cannot seem to locate the correct replacement
I have already had 2 replacement cables sent out from specialists that assured me were correct but they did not fit - one had the correct gearbox end and one had the correct speedo end but unfortunately not the correct combination
It measures approx 62 inches in length and its definitely not part number JHM 1763
I have attached pictures of the original and would be really grateful if anyone could come up with the correct cable or part number

I take it you'll already have investigated the Jaguar spares specialists? In case you haven't, the manual transmission in these cabs would seem to be that found in S3 XJ6s and their Daimler equivalent, the speedometer end on the Jags looks similar to the one in your photo too, but that's as far as I got because I couldn't find any images for the rear of either the Jaguar/Daimler's speedometer or that of the LDV Sherpa/Pilot which shares that manual gearbox.
That said, with the measurements you have, I'd be very surprised if Richfield couldn't make you a cable to length and with the correct ends for the job. They have occasionally helped me out with far more obscure things by either identifying (correctly) another vehicle that uses the same part or making one from scratch based around the same information that you've provided here today.

3/32" seems to be a common size for the square end so possibly, an inner cable from something else could be used if the thread and the clip on the existing outer are OK for reuse?
