I would argue that it's a classic now. but lets not start that one again.
The steering wheel is hideous but the rest looks sort of retro-cool. I like it

Well although not done to my taste (I prefer no spoiler and chrome version) I would agree that
the car already is a classic and is about 3o years old so the fact such a car can be as faithful to
when it first rolled off the production line is a credit to it's owners and keepers over the years.
I just wouldn't like the fuel bill, or to try and park it

and i need 15mpg like a hole in the head..
I like the economy gauge ! As if the person who bought it new ,needed to worry about fuel bills.. Or, were Mercedes thinking about the owner 30 years from when it was built ? I knew someone who had a new 380 sec back in the eighties , it rotted out within a decade. What would be under the bodykit??

BMWs of that era had them too.
It would convert to LPG beautifully and with a boot that size you would never even know. I have a multi-point kit to fit to my range when I (eventually) finish welding it up. you could do the same to this for a few hundred pounds if you use 2nd hand parts. I have a 120 litre tank you can have for free if you want to come and get it. it is even about 2/3 full.

Ditto! It's the rest of the car I'm not so keen on, the one I tried was cramped, uncomfortable, slow and didn't even handle as well as the Bayernische publicity machine said it would, which was why my folding was splashed in the direction of Wolfsburg..
Wait up, it's the Benz you're talking about isn't it?
Yeah, that's very nice but could I carry a freezer to the tip in the back of that? Thought not, so I'm out.
