higher running temperature

I have a series V Sunbeam Alpine with the 1725 engine. I have recently fitted the new gas flowed Webcom intake manifold and I am using the Weber 32/36 Dgv carb that I was running prior to fitment of the new manifold . The static timing iwas professionally set at 8 degrees BTDC and the Centrifugal and Vac advance are operating correctly.
Before fitting the manifold the temperature was consistent at 85C with little fluctuation but now when accelerating or running higher revs the temp goes up to about 95C but returns to 85C when the engine is at idle. Whilst I am not overly concerned by the temp increase (it does not continue to rise beyond 95C) I was wondering if anyone might have an explanation for whats happening and is there any corective measures that might be employed. One thing I was wondering about was wether the jetting was ok for the new manifold.

Perhaps it's running a bit weak at higher revs/higher engine loads?

A light chalky brown for want of a better description with the base of the plug a sooty black but no sooty deposit

Sounds about right then!
Id monitor it for a while, perhaps its just running more efficiently?
