Trigger's Broom

There has been a discussion going on on another forum (mainly American) I frequent about the osbsession especially with muscle cars over 'Matching numbers' A lot of these cars are bought as wrecks and then rebuilt with replica bodies and the like, and the VIN's transferred over to the 'new' car, and it reminded me of Triggers Broom in Only Fools and Horses...such a great show!!

The lengths they go to in order to keep original metal and mechanical parts is amazing.

At least most people are honest about cars originality. I forget the exact percentage quoted but even Mark Evans said how much of his e-type had to be replaced and I am sure it was over 70% after his restoration.

I'll add it to my 'to watch' list (which admittedly is very small as I dont really like watching TV!)
