Whoops. Assuming it has been on the road at some point since 1998, you should have SORNd it. However I have taxed cars (after forgetting) 3 months late and all that has happened is I got a letter from the DVLA telling me to ensure I tax it on time in future.
If they haven't been writing to you asking you to tax it / pay a fine, I wouldn't worry. just get an MOT then tax it as normal.

I checked on the governments website every 5-6 months just to be sure they don't screw up!

They haven't got that it it is petrol and LPG again for some unknown reason!
Has it really been 4 years since she was seen by an MOT tester

, and off the road for 3 years

I have just checked mine and it says Petrol/LPG on the V5 but just petrol online.
