Restoration of Triang Pedal Car

Okay not a classic car as such, but this is a little side project I have been doing whilst my MG has been off the road. My grandad bought it new for my dad back 1960 and my dad gave it to me in 1996 when I was two. Still a little bit of work to be done, but it's getting there, slowly :).

I have "bad to the bone" playing in my head now.
Looking good. I would love a real 58 Fury (even if Christine wasn't one).

Thanks gents :). Yes, apparently they based the designs around American cars of the time as it's a bigger market etc.

little bit of silver round the lamps and some for the bumper etc and it`ll look stunning.

Finally got it all back together today, not the easiest job despite it being a toy. Few more little jobs to do to it such as colour coding the rivits but it's getting there, finally.

Progress has been slow since it has been painted, but I finally got round to ordering the decals a few days ago and they arrived today.

I test fitted one of the spare number plates I received and the quality of them is fantastic! So this Saturday will be spent putting them on properly and hopefully getting it finished.

Wow! That's wonderful and apart from the original Fiat 500 must be the only car you could quite literally restore on your kitchen table. Or did you just risk putting it up there for the photies? Good call if so, it'll help any other forum members to plead for their lives when significant others argue that furniture and engineering don't mix.
