Not been about for a while (working strange shift pattern of late, hence it being 1.30am!) so I hope everyone had a good Xmas & new year.

Anyway down to brass tacks, I've seen a car that I desperately want to purchase BUT it's a cat B break only write off on copart and you need to be registered in the motor trade etc to purchase it.

I am therefore desperately trying to find someone able and willing to purchase the car on my behalf, there will of course be a drink in it

I don't want to say at this stage here what it is but Before anyone says it I know a cat b can't go back on the road etc all I want is the engine and running gear from it for the camper (which might be a give away)

Are you sure Mark,that you have to be in the trade. Because a lad in one of the units next to me buys from there,and he tells me it's open to the public. I was looking in the Classics section,last time I looked there's an Austin 1800 need for a resto.

If you are registered with Copart you can purchase Cat C & D repairable vehicles - you can only purchase Cat B vehicles for breaking and to do this you again need to be registered with Copart but more importantly you need to be registered as a 'Vehicle Dismantler' with the Environment Agency

Sadly true,

Missed out on it in the end . Only plus is I'll never know what it sold for.

I sure on the copart site with cat B breakers they do tell you who purchased them as it obviously benefits the salvage outfit.

I really wanted the complete running shell as I intended to use the entire running gear from engine/box/suspension/brakes etc

Ah well the search continues.
