Sweeeeeeet! I love these. Definitely close to the number one spot in the "Where the f*** did they all vanish to?" chart. OK, so they might have rusted ever so slightly and been a mite wallowy but the one I used to get a lift to work in sometimes back in the early '80s, for all it was owned by another impoverished student and falling apart, was super comfy and went like stink. He lost it on a wet bend one day and "parked" it in someone's front garden then ran away. It's probably still there as letting nature deal with the salvage would have been safer than trying to tow it home.

"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..

"Where the f*** did they all vanish to?"
In those days I worked for a Simca / Chrysler dealer - most of them had rust defects upon delivery - worst still they would then sit in the compound for months on end until sold - then we would have to quickly de-wax the car and start rectifying the paint prior to delivery - much like all the big Chrysler / Talbot models - they sold in small numbers and rusted well hence todays survivors are very rare
