As David Baddiel said
I had assumed that because he looked 85 at 40 that Clive Dunn was immortal
RIP Clive.

Didn't think to look in general chat
I was saddened to hear of the death of Clive Dunn. Ironic how his character was one of the oldest in Dad's Army, yet he's more or less outlived them all.
For me, one of Clive Dunn's best scenes was where he entered the court room in a Brush with the law
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeiD96wi ... ure=relmfu........"I know I am", " On the night of the 45th" and where he has to swear in his left hand. Priceless.....thank's Mr Dunn; RIP.

Good point. Moved to off topic
However back on topic, watching dads army now is still briliantly funny. Some comedy has aged very badly but this will always bring a smile to my face.

Yes, I think I know some of the episodes almost word perfect but I still laugh....Pike makes me laugh with his mobster references (In the court case where he ponders that Walker has gone to get some mobsters to "Rub out the judge"and when he does the noise of an SMG) or when he asks Wilson where Mr Snuggly is and the priceless line was "Don't tell him Pike".
Does anyone know whether the BBC have got a Clive Dunn programme together yet; I've not seen anything listed by way of a change to the published schedules.
I remember seeing Clive Dunn on Top of the Pops (Or at least his record).......I can't remember who was hosting the show but I guess it would have been Jimmy Saville.
