...throughout the Classic Car scene? Tatra have decided to disassociate themselves from the federation, because Tatra is against the MoT exemption on pre-60 vehicles, and have mentioned the ethanol test was flawed

Anything controversial is going to cause conflict somewhere. The FBHVC are not the architects of the MoT exemption, and the consultation they conducted showed a large majority in favour, although one may argue that the consultation was flawed. This is the first I've heard about the ethanol test, although it seemed ok to me.

They can be somewhat severe and condescending/dismissive in tone (FIVA are much better in this respect) and I know they had problems with the first lot of ethanol tests. However I am not aware of any problems with the second lost of tests, on which recommendations have been based.

Like them or loath them, the FBHVC are all we have. If anyone feels that strongly about what FBHVC are doing (Or not doing), perhaps it might be better to try and create change from within (Though if cliques are involved this can be a problem).

I think that the FBHVC are in danger of doing more harm than good. They seem to have a "if it's after 1960 it doesn't count as a classic" kind of attitude and that is bad for the majority of us.
