Some proper old cars.....

I don't often go to car events these days, but made an exception yesterday by accepting an invitation to attend the VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club of Great Britain) Autumn sprint meeting at Goodwood yesterday.
Some amazing machinery, some of them the most heath-robinson affairs you could think of, but great fun. Everything from Morgan 3-wheelers to racing Bentleys (lots of those!)
This wasn't a race as such, but was a time trial against the clock. The fastest cars on the circuit?
Austin Sevens - and by some margin too.
Some pics:

This is a 10-litre 4-cyl Aero-engined car, the chassis, rear axle, front axle and firewall are original Austin, circa 1911. It looked a real handful to drive, to say the least......

This is also Aero-engined, 9.5 litres apparently. Beautiful engineering, although still pretty mad:

A great day, it was friggin' cold though.
Cheers!
