One for the Auto-electricians

We're building a Porsche Speedster kit car and to save cost we are just using things we have lying around, so we have ended up with a VW Beetle switch and a twin speed wiper motor from a MGB. I can wire it up so we get both speeds but have done a fair bit of head scratching and fuse blowing to try and get it to park.

To get them working I have run power to contact '30' on the switch, '31' to earth then connected '53' to the Red/Green and 53b to the Blue/Green from the motor, this gives yo twin speed but no park. That just leaves 53a & 31b (on switch) and Green/White & Brown/Green (on motor) not connecting. In theory with 2 spare wires and connectors it leaves 2 options to try, but in both cases it just blows the fuse.

Below are wiring diagrams for both VW Beetle & MGB wipers, any ideas if I can get them to park or am I on to a loser.

Thanks

The motor needs a 12 volt supply to park when switched off. I think this is the green lead on the motor, so that should be connected to a permanent ignition supply. Speed one is 12V to red/green, speed two is 12V blue/green and off is red/green and brown/green connected together.
