:o Wow! Just when we assume that every possible way in which a Minor could be modified has already been thought of, along come you and give us more of your amazing engineering.

This will be a thread worth watching. :) 8-)

I have always fancied fitting the 3.0 from an ST220 to a type 9 and bolting it in to a mog. it goes like stink in a mondeo so in a minor it would FLY!
Which Zetec have you gone for?

It's the 1.8 black top, using ford original ecu setup & fuel injectors, should map quite nicely, I'll be fitting wheelie bars too, think it may need em. The full build thread is at http://morrisminorowners.co.uk/ftopic4982-0-asc-0.php

Have you got a black top ECU on it? How are you managing with PATS?
I avoid the mmoc, i am so annoied with them that i cancelled my membership some time ago.

pats? I'm using the focus engine, harness, immobiliser, ignition & ecu together, it'll think it's a focus

Is it PATS.. (passive anti theft system) that ford build in to the ECU so requires the sensor ring from the steering column and a chipped key to run. It's been several years since i was doing research in to fitting a 2.0 in to a traveller.
I have a silvertop zetec ECU from a 2.0 Mondeo in the garage so when i eventually get round to building my 2.0 mog i won't have to worry about it.

That looks like you have put a HUGE amount of work in. My hat is off to you, if i found rust holes like that i would have given up. That is going to be a monster when you have it on the road!

I have all the original wiring, I dont think the key is chipped but if it is it should all work when it's connected up, had a similar system when I built this. It has a 2.4 ltr V6 from an audi A4, this car is on the road now.

If it's a focus it is definitely chipped, If it's a mondeo then they added the chip keys when they launched the mk2 (i think)

That looks like a cool toy.

Are you a fabricator by trade or is this a hobby?
