Yes - you read right. It's half Allegro, half Mini... or thereabouts.

I know who owns that ;)
I dont know them but walk past it every so often i have friends that live close by

It belongs to somebody who runs a Mini Club and though i commend them for keeping Minis on the road their club cars are on the tatty (cannot be bothered side  )

If i remember rightly it is actually a one off when the likes of Wood and Pickett and Radford where doing coachbuilt cars some guy built this(when it was new) planning to do more but never did (Wonder why? )

It is rare in its own way but as it never went into production i guess its no rarer than any other one off custom car  :?

Its a bit of a marmite car really not my cup of tea and is quiet tired the paint is well oxidised i wouldnt be suprized if it needs a fair bit of welding too

The minute i read allegro/mini i knew what it would be LOL!

I remember it at a Mini Show two years ago and it didnt look that cleaver then,it had been pulling a trailer made out of the rear of another clubman estate and painted in black underseal(The whole trailer that was not just underneath LOL) The Club was called the Misfits LOL!

Fair play to him though,it might not be a show-stopper but it's still keeping an old car on the road. I do like seeing rough round the edges classics,I saw a truly hideous green minor today,no bumpers, gaffer tape over rust, wonky roofrack, exhaust sounded like it needed welding for the umpteenth time ,but it made me smile :D
Reminded me of when I used to see them in the 70's and they were just cars, not classics.

True ;)
i guess what gets me though is the paint is oxidised its been like that the last couple of years it could look soo much better with a bit of elbow grease though and either an electric buffer and some Farecla or by hand with some good old fashioned T cut

I do agree though theres something about classics that arnt show standard and just in everyday useable condition i think i can feel a thread comming on

;)

I do wonder why people do this sort of thing.....why take a useful feature on a small low car like sideways opening rear doors and replace them with a hatch that opens upwards and makes you have to grovel on your knees to load it??? It must've taken hours of work!

Hmmm also apears he doesnt really know anything about the vehicle, apart from what someone might have told him

Capri rear lights? Is this some capri I've never seen?

Allegro estate rear windows? Really?
