Ay up!

Long shot here but does anyone know how to sort out my Garmin Nuvi Satnav? I've forgotten the %$&# PIN code!

Normally google is your friend - sorry if this is simplistic... ;-)

Don't know if it works...

Or another search shows that Garmin will do it for you if its not stolen(!)...

(Both from a Google search! ;) )

Ay up!

I remembered the code last night and sorted it. At the same time I changed the code to one I can remember!

Thanks, lads.

I was gonna suggest a BIG hammer,a bin,and then buy a proper map!
Ive been a delivery driver for the last 15yrs and never had the need for one!!
I have good maps,a phone if there is a signal and a gob to ask with! ;)

I know where your coming from Pilkie, having been a door to door carpet cleaner in the past.

I always found post offices, newsagents and postmen useful for getting that last half mile.

Even today, I will go on google maps before setting off, scribble down a basic route on a bit of paper that can be stuck to the dash, then use the nat-sav for the last mile or so.

Still, I wouldn't mind a Road Angel or something similar to help me spot the static theft cameras.

Ay up!

Back when I was a delivery driver I never needed one meself. However, old brain injuries are catching up with me these days and I need a bit of help. There are times when I can't even remember where I live!

Anyway, as I said earlier I stumbled across the code by remembering the number "pattern" then reprogrammed the damned thing to one I can remember. Should have done that when I first got it but you know how it is.....

Hello Chaps

I did a stint looking after a fleet of those horrid stretch limos and was given a sat nav for london job when they were fairly new.
I hope that things have changed, but in thoses days the system would always take you to Hyde park corner and then onto your destination.... and believe me the last place you want to be in a 29foot long car is Hyde park corner.

Last year I got an RAC unit from Halfords for the grand sum of £40, and its plenty good enough for the few times I will use it.

Ay up!

Y'all's gonna hate me - mine was a freebie from my brother! He was bored with and got a mobile with a sat-nav built in!

Personally I can't see the damned screen on the mobe! Problem is, the blasted thing often takes me the long way round....

Sometimes the shortest route can take ages, and the longest route can be quicker! ;)
I would rather do 10 miles in 15 relaxed minutes driving than 6 miles stuck in traffic for 1/2 hr!! :)
