i am considering fitting an electric fuel pump to my vehicle as my mechanical item is playing up now because its old, my question is how easy are they to fit ? do i need anything else part from the pump as i already have that? its for a A-series engine

Are you going to use a veritable resistor on the pumps power supply,
so you can fine tune the pressure the pump gives out?

Why would you need to do that? If you buy the correct pressure pump there won't be an issue. Assuming it isn't a turbo a-series then the lucas pump for a morris minor will take 2 minutes to plumb in about the same to wire and will feed enough fuel for a 1275 without any problem.

hi,
because we need to deliver the fuel at higher pressure ?
the engine being tuned slowly ;)

Why? If you deliver fuel to the carbs at higher pressure you'll just flood them. What makes you think you need to have higher pressure than that for which the carbs were designed?

And in any event, putting a "veritable" resistor won't affect the pressure anyway, it certainly won't give you a higher pressure now will it?
