hi gang, i am after an old cartoon from an issue many years ago..... if i describe it perhaps someone can scan me a copy from an old edition or tell me wher i can get 2 x copys of this...
carrtoon is of a man at a parts counter asking the assistant for some chrome sunvisor retaining screws for a 1954 HardlyWorthIt 2 stroke shootingbrake, to which the sales man replys "yes mate" we've just had 3 lorry loads delivered this morning..
My mate and i still laugh about this today and would love a copy to frame.
Cheers
joe

I remember exactly the thumbnail to which you refer! But 30+ years worth of back issues to trawl through is quite a stretch so someone else may offer theirs up before I've done searching.
How I remember such a thing?
Well, several students have been sent from work over the road to the big Halfords with a LEA order number slip for these very fasteners.

Give them their due though but; one enterprising young lass did bring back a pint of pigeon milk instead.

very funny, am sure it was within nthe first couple of years.... i would start from the begining and go forward......
a mate did say that the cartoonist did have a book out with all the PC ones in it that he did but i don't know the artist and only want this one so i can frame it.......
i manage a tyre centre for a mate and some of the stupid thigs we get asked you can't imagine......
thanks for your efforts....

I still have fond memories of Brian Fade and the staff of Mayhem Garage.
I always thought PC made a mistake swapping them for Barry Cade.

Hi all, the cartoon in question appeared in the August 1982 issue p.25, in the "Going Spare" section.
Sorry I can't scan at present, due to an ongoing dispute with the equipment, so hope someone else can now they know where it is.

I'll scan that once I'm home, unless some kindly soul beats me to it of course.

I think you'll find that Mayhem Garage is now situated at the PC workshop
Do you remember the sign at the Unipart Parts counter? 'The answer is Yes, now what's the question'.
John Simpson.
