wifeys washing machine has started making a lot of noise on she spin cycle, ive checked all the dampers, springs, weights, drum bearing etc & i cant find anything wrong.. its an 11 year old machine & has a few war wounds so is it time for a new machine??
ive also removed all the nails and screws from the pump....

Main centre bearing?
Might be easy enough to renew, you can google for spares, it's amazing what's available retail.
Cheers

Remember a dead washing machine is still useful for parts!
All that stainless steel can be used to make protective guards and heat shields tht won't rust away.
As the drum is perforated allowing water to drain away or air to blow through so could be used to stop stones
hitting the engine if used as a protective under skirt/sump pan gaurd

rich please remember my above post, and advise your wife
that you want to strip it for bits before it goes to the skip.
