Sad to hear the news that he has passed on.....I bet St Peter is doubled up laughing

One of his jokes, that has been repeated since his death, was that his wife asked him whether he would still love her if he won the Lottery. Frank Carson's reply was "Yes and I'll miss you". He was the kind of comedian who had you laughing before he delivered the punchline. I remember one where he mentioned that "Paddy" went into an ironmongers, for a ball of steel wool, so as he could knit himself a kettle.

I can still remember that daft single he did in the 70's - complete gobbledegook, but catchy all the same.
I used to watch him on "The Comediens" on Saturday nights as a kid, along with Charlie Williams and Bernard Manning. Hope he's sharing a few gags with them.
