Now I feel OLD!!!
I was sitting in the living room and searching on the internet.
When mother spotted a long gray hair in the mass of mousey
brown hair on my head.

I'm only 35 not 55, I would rather go gray than bald!

Unless the gray hair has been caused by the stress of my
health or the engine swap.

I have plucked/ripped that gray hair out, but as the sun
catches my hair sometimes it goes lighter in the summer and
I dye it a slightly darker brown.

It might be time to start buying the hair dye in bulk!

Just carry out a few more oil changes.

It will soon go dark again with all the rust dirt and old oil on it.

It's odd - my mother gives me grey hairs!

Don't pull 'em out - you will end up bald when they start to come in faster! To be exact, they are white hairs - they just show as grey when mixed with dark hair.

I annoy my hairdresser: at 58, you'd expect me to have a lot of grey hairs and a bald patch. However, I have (relatively) few grey and a full head of rather thick (and much too long) hair. The hairdresser is about my age and a real slap head! It's April since I had the chance to get it cut and it's been driving me mad since July!

I bet he feels much better now tractorman!

Spare a thought for me, I'm going bald and grey, and thats just 'downstairs'

There are worse things, that come with advancing years, than grey or thinning hair and most of them beat the alternative I wouldn't worry about it; there's nothing you can do about it. I knew someone who wore three wigs in turn, each about 1/2" longer than the last. The short one was meant to signify a recent haircut . When his own hair went a bit grey, the wig stood out even more. Being as he was known (Behind his back at any rate) as "Wiggy", he didn't fool many people.

I usually have my hair brushed back and in a ponytail.
So no chance of seeing if I have a bald spot if I did have one
And yes those are my real glasses with prescription lenses in Victorian frames.

I'm bald as a spuggy's kneecap I am, and proud of it. On my head that is, the rest of me looks even more like Chewbacca than you do. Must go to the salon for a back, sack and crack wax again soon.

Might as well post a self-portrait, it's not as though anyone actually reads this piffle is it?
