IT PASSED THE MOT BUT...

Helloo!
I am over the moon because my 3 year restortation is so nearly at the end because it passed the MOT with no advisories.
BUT yea not quite right still when pulling away it has no power what so ever, it's CO is only 0.43% and it sounds really sweet but idles a bit high. It has a 2" exhaust, weber 32/34 dmtl and defender camshaft, oh and power spark leccy ignition that just replaces the points. It did have this same problem before i fitted the powerspark kit aswell.
I can only think it's ither not getting enough fuel running teh standard fuel pump OR i need to completley re think the timing because of the different cam and powerspark ignition.
Any help would be amazing!
Thanks everyone :)

The mixture is too weak at 0.4 %, try running it at 1.5%, when you adjust the mixture the revs may increase and you'll have to adjust the throttle stop.
You may also have to advance the timing by trial and error, advance it till it 'pinks' under load then retard slightly.

It may be running weak as it is letting /getting air into the inlet manifold etc somewhere (eg via a faulty gasket or breather pipe). An aerosol of carb cleaner will help diagnose - spray it on suspect joints etc with engine running and if the engine falters it is breathing carb spray instead of air so look further.
This was cause of my old Datsun's poor running after recommission - a faulty breather hose that took ages for me to get to root of.
