I got chatting to the owner of this, he's had it since new and got it special ordered in the Canary yellow with the green stripe, It was the only Sierra ever painted this colour, he said it was because he was a racing driver for Lotus in the 60's racing Lotus Cortina Mk1's with Jim Clark and the other one, he always raced the yellow car with the green stripe hence the colour scheme on this, I don't know how true this is but he's covered 380000 miles in the car with no problems and it's his daily driver still!.

I was there too, unfortunately in my rush to get out I picked up the film camera instead of the digital and didn't take any pictures because I had no film. There is always a good show at Stonham, because they don't charge a fee to exhibit and make everyone welcome. If you look through the windscreen in your shot of the 3.4 Jag interior, you can see the back of my blue Matra, although I didn't appear to be around at the time, or you could have stopped for a chat, I don't get to meet many of the forum users in my neck of the woods. Did any of those cars you photographed belong to you?

Hi Pete, I often see your Matra at local shows, I don't know why i never photographed it on Sunday though, As you've already seen I've got the orange Kadett, You can't miss it!, I'm at Helmingham Hall on Sunday (If it's not raining) in it so say hi if your there.
Have a free shot of your car from the Aldeburgh run this year.

I won't be going to Helmingham this year because I generally avoid events that charge a fee to exhibit. It seems completely wrong that the organisers should charge a fee for us to show our cars and then charge the other punters to view them. The other reason is that it clashes with a national Matra Enthusiasts' Club meeting at Beverley, E Yorks. If anyone in the area suddenly notices a preponderance of strange three-seat vehicles, then that's the reason

I will be at the Alde Valley Classics Day the following week (August 14) at the Riverside Centre Stratford St. Andrew the following week (all welcome, no need to book).

I wasn't sure about Helmingham myself due to them charging £12 to show your car, would out us displaying our cars they wouldn't have a show, But we are taking my wife's little cousin who likes cars so i decided that she would like that the most due to the concourse drive part.
I'm taking mine to both the Nationals at Trinity park (If i get in) and Lavenham at the end of the month though.
