Flipping 'eck, Looms is still going! Used to go there with my my bro' back in 76'/77' to get bits for his HB Viva!
Hope the Equipe is saved, looks like one not for the feint hearted though!

Rovers do look pretty good 8-)

Sad to see hear that the Equipe is far too gone. I had one back in the day luckily without the garish stripes but with a nice black vinyl roof. With twin carbs feeding the 1750cc you could watch the fuel guage move under heavy acceleration. The car's brakes were slightly imbalanced so once I ended up sideways at a red light and another time ended up facing the wrong way on a dual carriageway! A stone chip removed part of the red grill trim so I replaced this with a bit of trim from a fridge. Finally sold the car at auction when a front wheel bearing was on it's way out. Wish I had kept it of course.....

I probably saw you there - the trick was to try and get the cheaper of the two blokes on exit.

My favourite was being there when a bloke arrived towing another car. When the occupants got out the proprietor said "which one are you scrapping"
