 Nail on head! And looking at the picture, it's authentic right down to the British seaside vista with dry roads and not a sandbag to be seen. These were the days, though as a kid on school trips, our preferred back seat smoking material was Embassy Red and I remember how the teachers would always be happy enough to give us a light as long as we were 5th form or older.
that takes me back..

First of all, other places you can find my artwork:

Secondly, Suggestion Friday. Starting today I'm going to take suggestions from people of what I should draw every Friday. I'll then pick a suggestion at random and draw up a piece for the following Friday that will be available to purchase.

Suggestion on the list... I've had a lot more suggestions than anticipated (posted in other places) so I've got a lot to choose from, I'm really spoiled for choice. I'm going to stop taking suggestions at midnight Sunday so I've got time to pick one and work on it. In the meantime...

Really, you can't go wrong with applejack paint and gold coach stripes.

From the 14 suggestions received I have picked a 'winner' so I'm closing suggestions for this week. You'll find out who's suggestion I favoured on Friday when I shall be reopening suggestions anew.

I had two Minis, one after the other. The first was Applejack (AKA Slime green). It only had 25000 on the clock when I bought it (The white one was new; again the colour was what was in stock). I was simply looking for a runabout, to save the Midget from the daily grind. In that respect, it did all that I wanted of it. A Clubman estate would have been better but there were none about when I wanted one.

@Martin Evans: Nice proper little Minis there.

@rich: I'm steadily expanding into commercials, the first being the Leyland Leopard Plaxton coach posted earlier. If you fancy, I can roll your two suggestions over for Suggestion Friday when it reopens on... well.. Friday. I finished the first weekly 'winner' earlier today so that's set in stone for now.

If you're interested in a commission, do drop me a line and I'll be happy to discuss your requirements. With tax and MoT time coming up for three cars all at pretty much the same time, I'd welcome the business even more than usual.

I've done a few pet and people portraits, not much in the way of specific places except for backgrounds in commissions focused on other items like the Alfa with Brands Hatch as a backdrop. I'm willing to tackle most things, if there's something you're interested in specifically it's best just to ask, worst I can say is that I can't do it.
