Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.
LOl, I don't quite think I'm ready for paint yet, I would say, where I said, "I wasted the piant out on here" might have given a clue that it was just waste
I've got myself enough crystal to make enough solution to dip it once it's all built, a famer friend with a fallow field, a jcb to dig a gert big hole, and a huge visqueen to line the hole with. total cost of dipping, £80

I was wondering what you were going to do about the rust - albeit mostly surface rust that I can see. Now I know. Cool! Now we DEFINATELY want to see pictures of that, please!
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

Lots of them and big - failing that, enormous - please.
This could lead to a revolution among home builders, restorers and repairers of things large and made from steel.
This agricultural hole of yours; what would happen if you subsequently fill that with molten Zinc?
J "Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..
also, if you poured molten zinc into a plastic lined hole, I dont think the plastic bag would handle the heat...and also keeping it molten might be an issue....though I like your thinking.
In these cash strapped times you and the farmer might start dipping a few cars on the side? three or four in a row if all the cars had to be the same colour it would cut down on paint costs too!!
Bubs - I take it that you will dig the hole in your mates field for the dip and strip the day after DEFRA have carried their on the on the spot farm inspection and also have hope that the Environment Angecy officers are all on their hols when it comes to pump the residue down once you are done with it ? - I am all for saving money by doing it myself but they are pretty hot on this stuff nowdays and the fines are massive i.e. £KK's - I contract to both DEFRA & EA so I know what they get up to - but keep it quiet and good luck ! For your own protection (and your farmer mate) do not even think of mentioning a location and be carefull with the images !
