8-)
I had no such hesitation in declaring my love for that sexy wee thing, but then I had Bond Bug posters on my walls at a time when most of my mates had Lamborghinis adorning their adolescent cradles of filth or "bedrooms" as the posh kids' parents called them. :D

Fairy nuff, My favourite poster was a Ferrari Testarossa. Not everybody's favourite prancing pony but the only Ferrari I would keep if I was given (with the view I couldn't afford to buy one).
Posters of sports cars but I end up with products of the green oval.
Still not sure about the "mini" but there is something for everyone :)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

As one of the questions suggests, it's not as rare as the seller has been told it is, but still much less common than the Phoenix though the Phoenix does use the rear door from a Reliant Robin or Rialto so for that reason alone, I'll pass on the Maxi body!

I'm not sure that the shell is all that much overpriced though, given its poster potential and the fact that lovely single women will throw themselves at it left, right and centre. :|

This is probably fibreglass and it looks like a mini converted for use by really tall people:

Regardless, it's odd so will be right up your street John.

Thanks for that, Terry. It's only 90 odd miles down the road from me as well!

Only thing is that turning up at a mini meet in that DAIHATSU would get a chap hung, drawn and quartered however I think it would be worth the risk as it's just such a gorgeous wee thing.

Just think, you could fit a 3 cylinder diesel to it and not feel guilty about hacking a proper mini about.

  :) :D

The Mercedes OM660 is already finding its way into quite a few proper minis, complete with five speed automated manual 'box as found in those short, French things that Her Highness doesn't like much.
I love these long stroke, 3 cylinder 799cc things, they can safely take an upgrade from the top of the range stock 61bhp to a touch over 70bhp and from 130Lb/ft to almost 150Lb/ft of lovely torque and a standard, steel mini is around 100Kg lighter than that which we shall not mention for fear of giving a funny old woman some form of panic attack, so people are understandably impressed by how well the merger of heavy oil and mini actually works in practice.

It should be easy to squeeze it in to the minhatsu and have all the advantages and some extra headroom too!
