Hmm, nice. Is that the Hormone Replacement Vehicle or the other one, whose name escapes me for the moment? What's its load capacity like? Room in the back for a Briggs & Stratton to be delivered oop norf?

Re: I've been Toyota shopping.
I wouldn't be too alarmed by the technology, yon Ikuo Kajitani is an effing brilliant engineer who knows exactly what he's doing, when he's not too busy shopping for Scandinavian furniture or riding his Suzuki.
Weird Toyota engine-related fact:
Although the 1587cc engine in the Corolla rotates clockwise, unlike the majority of Honda's engines which turn the wrong way, hence the gearbox being at the right in most Hondas, the carb version of the Toyota engine as found in mine has its camshafts rotating in opposite directions, exhaust camshaft goes with the crank, but the inlet camshaft goes ccw instead. Injection versions of the same engine have both camshafts revolving clockwise. Weird, and makes Ikuo Kajitani's design for Honda look almost normal.
I gave the engine a bit of a scrub recently, now it's no longer caked with Waxoyl/Ensis V/Dinitrol, etc. it's actually visible and looks a lot like this:
I'm wondering whether a baby unicorn is a foal or a cub? There's a breeder locally but I don't want to ring them and ask, in case I end up looking like a feckin' eejit.

Re: I've been Toyota shopping.
Oh turd .Wrong way
Is this so complicated it's Main Stealer only?
Re: I've been Toyota shopping.
I only ever took my civic to a main stealer but that's largely because it was a fleet car so I wasn't paying.
Assuming there is a problem, have you got a generic OBDII reader to plug in and see if any codes are logged?
30mpg for a mini mpv doesn't sound too horrible. It might just need a service. My 2.0 petrol focus gets 32-36 in town or 45 on a motorway run.

Re: I've been Toyota shopping.
No code reader.
I was on a run Terry ! It was my sisters , she filled it and drove it up from Dorset , I then drove her back to Dorset ,turned round and drove it home 354 miles total ..She used a 1/4 getting here but the first bit always goes down slow, doesn't it .. I used the rest going and coming back ...fast .Now on Empty . However the book says the low fuel light will come on at 1 .3 gallons left , and it's not on yet ... I'll fill it and do a better estimate when i start using it . Of course, I'm an expert driver , so i will get better mileage than most
