On The A50 this morning there was a blue G plate escort with "I survived the scrappage scheme" on the boot. The car was rubbish but the sticker made me grin.
On Monday night I saw a very "well loved" Herald driving through Nottingham
This fantastic looking Humber was parked in Ashbourne last Friday

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Yesterday was a good day for classic spotting (Pity I couldn't say the same for the weather). I saw an A 40 Farina near Leominster and an nice looking Morris Minor Traveller on a garage forecourt a bit further on. My father was passenger and he spotted a Gilbern Genie/Invader.
When we got to where we were going, there was a Mk 2 Jaguar, XK120 and parked next to my father's MG Midget, was Maserati 250F number 2528, that Fangio drove to win the 1957 Monaco Grand Prix. I hope a photo will be on it's way to us soon, as we didn't have a camera with us
. I also saw a 3 1/2 lite pre war Jaguar, an E Type shell, a complete E type, another XK and a Ferrari 250. There was also a Ferrari V12 engine, with a big hole in the block
, that was scrap. It is apparently useful as a blank, for use in the building of replica/replacement bodies and chassis. Attached to it was a gearbox and overdrive (I didn't know that Ferrari were into overdrives).

Rules exist for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.
MG Midget 1500, MGB GT V8, Morris Minor Traveller 1275, MG Midget 1275 & too many bicycles.

Ay up!
A couple of old PC project cars in the area.
John Simpson's Rover P4 is regularly seen along with a Mk2 Jag RPA 247.
Also saw a Daimler saloon with V8 - very tatty and burning a lot of oil but sounding good nonetheless.
