I thought the 10k estimate was low... id seen the mini before, though i saw people who have paid a fortune for some singers shoes... a fool and his money are soon parted...

Had that been a 997cc Cooper or a 1071 Cooper S, then maybe, just maybe, it would have been worth that much. But a later, "wet" (Hydrolastic rather than dry rubber) 1275 S? For that, I'd want the thing to be drivable. Someone must have been desperate for a log book donor for a Heritage shell rebuild. Possibly.
