I have noticed the small gas bottle so I may take the above advice and invest in a bigger bottle.
Regarding the storage of a gas bottle at my house, does it need to be outside?

No, the gas is inert.
It's fine indoors, just get in the habit of turning the gas off once you have finished welding as it tends to find even the smallest leak and the cylinder will be empty in no time at all

I have a Clarke 190EN, I bought it because I was familiar with the Clarke brand from when I lived in England. It welds OK but the feed is not smooth and the drive mechanism is rubbish. I'm not looking to buy a Hobart Ironman which is a pretty nice American made welder.
