Have you ever witnessed a car crash?
Re: Have you ever witnessed a car crash?
Erm no, only in the rear view mirror...

Re: Have you ever witnessed a car crash?
No no no ! It was an accident ! I wasn't aiming aiming to bust the screen .A stone was gonna flick up next week to do that!! I was reversing up a clients drive , a steep rutted farm drive.. overhanging trees, sharp bend in it . My dog had his front paws on the dash, i couldn't see out the n/s mirror because of him... and BANG
. I thought it was just the towbar hitting sommat , until i went round the back to open the tailgate . The good news is; Fiat passed the retest although i skinned my knuckles getting the brake springs on the new shoes.. T4 clutch seems to have recovered enough to use(if i don't boot it) ,Pajero had a new belt (a bugger to fit ) , a 10 mile drive and with no apparent coolant loss, the head gasket might just be ok.. otherwise K seal

"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..

The clutch in my daily is like that sometimes. I can be driving it like my tail is on fire then for no apparent reason it will slip like crazy changing from 1-2 or 2-3, it will then be fine for another few weeks. I've been thinking to myself "I must get that fixed" for the last 20,000 miles :S
It sounds like you have had a productive day of car fixing, even if your rear screen hasn't been fixed by autoglass yet
(btw, if you are insured with Swinton and they send out "auto windscreens" be warned that they use the cheapest most badly fitting rubbish screens known to man. If I hadn't googled the number embedded in the screen I would swear it was for a different car!)

Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Saw one real prawn this morning. Road with a pavement on the right hand side. Where was this pillock walking? Just to the left of the white line, walking in the direction of the traffic on that side
