Nah, he's a proper shortarse compared to me in terms of leg length, but because his torso is in proportion, he's also a foot taller than me. At least..

I like the Mira, and if the front end of a classic mini isn't your thing unless it's still attached to the car it belongs, the same van also comes with Renault 4, Simca 1100, Daihatsu's own and a variety of other alternative front ends. There's a lot of shared DNA between my own daily drive and the Mira van, the 660cc engine qualifies the Mira for the Kei class rules regarding ownership, parking entitlement and overall dimensions but if you stick a four cylinder VVTi engine in there and can forgive the extra oomph that this provides, then there's a lot in common, including the high seat, low floor, high roof formula.

That Minor caravette works really well, IMHO. I've seen a few Minor commercials with short caravans mounted on their chassis but they're all rather too spindly thanks to the chassis. I reckon it's a work of genius to start with the wooden structure of the Traveller and turn it into the UK equivalent of a New Zealand house truck, albeit a little smaller than the typical Bedford TK-based residence.

Allegro estates seem to be enjoying a resurgence of interest these days, that's the fourth or fifth really nice one that's been round eBay this year alone.

So, are you saying that people who buy "private" plates have too little sense then? Hmmph! In my defence, I've owned XJR40 since 1981 and have never bought or sold it. That plate would have been lost when the car had to be scrapped as A40 Farinas were ten a penny then and another car was cheaper than the amount of steel required to mend the rotten bits in XJR. BB55JPB, on the other hand, is pure borst but it was cheap, is age-related for the bB's build date and I didn't want to change my initials to ZMU to match the car's 2016 issued UK plate.

while i don't object to people spending money on what pleases them 10 million for a bit of paper & some plastic??
