Almost Luxo, but, he didn't die in the last 113 years, and my B didn't actually found the Herald, though he did run it at one time.

Also the 1795 James Gordon Bennett (Sr) didn't get so drunk as he mistook the fireplace / Grand Piano at his future Father in laws house as a lavatory causing the end of his engagement.

However, you did guess the correct name, right family, just the wrong generation, and so I believe I can take a unilateral decision to jump ship and declare you IT

I was of course James Gordon Bennett (Jr) born 1841, founder of the Gordon Bennett cups for motoring, yachting and ballooning.
