I think you should get the pink Fiat rich. You can tell your other half it's for her. that way she can't moan about it ;)

Chris, I have no idea which appliance you guessed I'd like but if it's small, Japanese and there's a bed hidden in it somewhere**, then I'm in, yes please.
So my assumption was perfect John

Yes, it certainly was.

Regarding pink cars, I don't mind them and I did once come dangerously close to owning a deep pink Suzuki, but why buy a factory made pink car when you can buy a red VW and watch it turn pink which, in my world, is known as a "right result."
8-)

Nice bike, shame it's eclipsed by some old Morris Ten. :scared: ;)

Rich, Rich, I found something that would, IMHO, be a great alternative to the build your own Maestro kit of parts:

At least the Escort(s) is (are) running and usable. Sure & the Maestro will be nice when it's been assembled but is it just me, or is it a wee bit steep for one that's not yet working?
:?

Have you noticed that you don't see posties on push bikes? They have that pram like tub thing that holds a lot more mail. In one of the classic car publications I saw one of those Pashley cycles that Royal Mail used to give their posties. Restored, in Royal Mail livery, it fetched £500.

John, you sound cynical about The Morris body on the MG chassis, and there was I thinking that you loved the Morris, especially that model, so 'admired' by the Top Gear team (of old.)
Did I ever tell you that I had a Morris Marina? Well I did, and I didn't. I took delivery of it and then, when it was due it's 1000 mile service, back in the day they changed the oil and filter and checked nuts, bolts, hoses, clips and so on at 1000 miles, it went into the workshop. Later that day the garage phoned me to say that the car was ready and before I collected it, could I bring my medical record along with me. "My medical record? You're kidding?"
"No Sir, we should have asked for it at the time of the sale." So I ring my doctor and explain to reception that could I have a copy of my medical record. For once the receptionist was helpful, "Stop by anytime and collect it," she said. Well as I had to go past the surgery on my way to the garage, I did just that.
At the garage I gave the sales receptionist my medical records and then went around to the service area to collect my car. The service manager was all smiles: "Won't be a minute Sir, would you like a coffee while you are waiting?"
Such courtesy, I sat there enjoying my coffee, when the sales receptionist appeared. She asked me to go through to the showroom where the salesman who sold me the car was waiting to see me. "Ah! Sir,good to see you," he said, "Here's your cheque for full reimbursement for your car, plus an extra £100 for your inconvenience, and as it's coming up to Christmas, a bouquet of flowers for your good lady and a bottle of single malt for yourself." "What on earth is all this about?" I asked, totally bewildered. "It's because of your medical record Sir." "You mean I'm not fit to drive?" "No Sir, you have been circumcised." "What's that got to do with giving me my money back?" "Well you see Sir, only a complete dick drives a Morris Marina!"

GHT, you just caused tea to come out of my right ear, my nose and my left eye.

Has anyone else been alarmed to discover that the actor who plays Basil Brush, seen above in his original form, has been replaced by a completely unrelated fox! I ask you; is nothing sacred?
