Maybe it was decommissioned in 1965? Back then, it would have shewn as being registered at the time of the change taking place, there were no "age-related" plates available then..

I rather like it, imagine how cool it would be left looking standard outside, but fitted out in a similar way to the Bedford coach, which has been a fixture on eBay for at least a year, possibly because it's too expensive when a house containing similarly high quality fittings can be bought for the same amount unless you stay down south, in which case buy the bus!

And on vehicles that aren't what they appear, take a keek at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2013-MERCEDES ... Swv0tVCq3D

At the price, I reckon the classic Cinquecento should be included and apparently it's only there to illustrate the size of the garage, but the very fact that a caravette comes with a garage makes me want it.

I'd have the 6x6 Range Rover. It's probably worth £10k to the right person. the last one I saw was up for £1500 but it needed everything.

Is the Range Rover actually a 6x6, Terry? I thought - quite possibly erroneously - that these things had a dead beam axle at the rearmost position, its purpose being to allow for a steeper entry angle from the base of a muddy hill than would be possible with that extension at the back of the body which, IMHO, does the same for the Range Rover as a conservatory would do for Westminster Abbey.

Chris, I have no idea which appliance you guessed I'd like but if it's small, Japanese and there's a bed hidden in it somewhere**, then I'm in, yes please. Though that '30s Merryweather's distinctive style appeals too, as long as the £15 large includes a ladder and the bells work.

**- Seriously, it appears to me that every small Japanese vehicle has seats that can be remodelled into a usable bed. Is Tokyo property so dear nowadays that some folk have to live in tiny cars? Why do they do this? Is it because they may as well if the only alternative is a VW camper?
:scared:

There are 6x6 and 6x4 versions, I will admit I assumed this was a 6x6 rather than a 6x4. Either way it's pretty damn cool.

Ah, that explains how I've seen a 6x4 one then. Thanks for confirming that I'm not living in a parallel universe.

Not that I have a fetish for old Range Rovers or anything but:
This one was marketed as a 6x6

This post is someone talking about a Carmichael 6x4 fire engine that has had a 6x6 conversion

Hard to choose which of those I'd throw my cash at, Rich. If forced to choose, I'd love the small tractor, but then I always did like a little green man around the place..
