The engine is all back together, and running well.
Engine bay is finished, insofar as,all I can do without stripping things out!
The snagging will be done between now and the show,as I do the rest of the car,as I am bound to notice a bit I missed,or needs touching up!
I've tried to get it to an excellently maintained and really kept clean with a slight age patina look!,rather than a full on OTT resto jobbie!
I have an idea what to do about the heaterbox insulation,as it should have a plastic type cover over it!
Will experiment if I get time!
Well happy with the results,so theres no excuse not to give PLK 1E the same treatment!

That will keep me busy Mon/Tues till the roof comes back Weds morn!

Fit roof,headlining,1/4 panel and interior trim back in.
Thurs!
Final going over to make sure all is well and nothing silly has been missed.

The final panels came back this morning,1 day ahead of schedule, due to Wayne doing an evening stint to catch up!
He is hoping to have enough time on friday afternoon/early eve to come to my place and give it a de-nib and polish before the weekend event!
If not,it will be going back to him for a final flat and polish in a couple of weeks anyway!
Still just on schedule, and today just about finished fitting all panels bar roof and 1/4's!
An early start in the morning will see them all finally tightened up,front grille, lights and bumpers on,leaving the roof for the afternoon!
All door and rear wing seals done, rear deck and boot all ok,bonnet seals back on,just the bonnet lining frame to repaint and re-fit.
Casper has,as usual been watching over proceedings, but from his new comfy place, and didnt like it when the bin men whizzed passed!
Piccy link!

Has Casper been watching the TV a bit too much recently?!
I vaguely remember my niece's godparents having a 2000 in that colour in the mid 70s. It certainly wasn't in as good condition though and it wasn't terribly old at the time - he was a boffin on nuclear subs, so could afford a nice car (especially as his father owned a garage or two).

That must be a nice warm sunny spot. One of my neighbours has a defender 90 with a teddy bear spare wheel cover, on first glance I thought you had one too.

Never let it be said that you can't attract pussy with a classic car.
Stunning work there, and that picture of the o/s/r wing had me staring at it for
hours before the penny finally dropped and I saw what it was!
