That probably sums up a large part of what makes us want to hoard anything

I'm a pretty rational bloke myself and fail to see the point of hoarding stuff for the sake it - probably one of the main reasons for this is that I lived on my narrow boat for several years and you have no choice but to both practical & rational about what you keep / don't keep - I did have a lock up but this was largely for the business that I ran at the time.

Off the original topic but picking up on John's point - today I have been emptying the loft room / flat in general - down the three flights of stairs - ready to put into storage pending our house move in few weeks time - I just cant believe the amount of tat / s**t that the other half expects us to keep, on top of that we have a lock up garage full of furniture / odds that we have gained over the years and then there is the contents of her recently vacated studio which are in a large storage unit - so the riot act has been read - there's no way am I living with this lot and it has to go - why the hell we hang on to stuff for the sake of it / just in case / you never know it might come in handy etc, etc - on top of that she will expect me to store it all in the garage of the new place - and that is just not happening in my book - garages are for housing / repairing cars not storing tat - ok I know she will get her own way - but at least I tried

I thought i ought to buy a new rug too,looked a bit disgusting,funny how you get used to things you see every day, but the SuperSebo's sucked all the dog hair from it , and it looks ok ! I thought it was white brown and black , kinda Jack Russell colours .... but it's red now!

Where's the "dead jealous" smilie when you need it?

Jealous for two reasons:

1. You have a Sebo
2. Your dog can move around a lot more freely than mine!

I am down one Hoover - the Purepower took a hissy fit and started melting and throwing sparks. "That's not good" thought I - especially as the smell of burning plastic took weeks to clear! So I am down to the 35+ year old Hoover Senior (and various other machines) - they certainly don't make them like that any more!

I fear my dog will soon join my late mother - her arthritis is getting much worse. I suspect that being "attacked" by an Alsatian on Monday didn't help. Believe it or not, my 13 year old Spring Collie was not the loser - she stood her ground (couldn't run if she wanted to) and the Alsatian ran off to hide beside her master!

The best thing with a Sebo - apart from being good at cleaning - is that you can get parts for them and repair the things yourself - on the rare occasions you may need them. As I wrote - if they can survive the school's cleaners, they will outlast mere mortals!
