It's been a partially white Christmas, in that there was the most minute amount of snow in my garden (You had to really examine the lawn to see it) but when I cycled to the top of the valley, in order to drop down into the valley, that leads to parent's house, I crossed the snow line and there were a few inches (The Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres coped fine).
Amongst my goodies, was a DVD of the 1987 Silverstone 1000ks (I was there) and a video of the life of Raymond Mays. Spotted a green Ford Prefect/Popular/Anglia (100E style) going past my parent's house, soon after I arrived, which I will post in the relevant section.

We suffered a big hail/sleet/odd bit of snow type stuff yesterday morning, so do I class that as a white christmas?
However, a minor trivialisation compared to the poor souls not far from here whom I drove past when going to get family for the day. Home park the other side of bridge was flooded and had been evacuated, this is the bowls club car park (those who remember the TG old peoples car where they tested the rear parking sensors) the container is usually the other side of the car park at the back, however it had floated to the other side, and was only stopped by the bridge. Thankfully water has subsided today, and car park is visible once more, and river level had dropped significantly too. Mind, if the forecast of more heavy rain is true, it may not stay down for long.
