Late 70's Celicas have an inherent electrical problem. They go through alternators like the last MG TF's go through head gaskets. That is probably what's at the back of your mind. It's possible that some company, somewhere, has come up with a fix, but I haven't heard of one.

hmm not sure what your getting at there..
i do have a yellow transit & a yellow jcb but thats about it.. & the very nice lady who sorted out my glasses delivered them to the house....

Oh dear, have I overstepped the mark. I was implying that only someone with a love of yellow could find those yellow Skodas oddly attractive. One of the best reactions that I ever saw against The Skoda was at a New Year's Eve swanky ball some years ago. This Hooray Henry had ordered a cab and a Skoda with a taxi light on the roof turned up. "WTF is that?" Says Hooray Henry. When he learned that it was his taxi he went ballistic. Shouting that he would rather walk home in the rain than get into that recycled corned beef tin can.
He was rude, I would have told him to walk then, but the cab firm sent another car, ironically a Passat, same car different badge.

Mellow yellow, that always reminds me of a gross reminisce. My good friend had just become a father, on his first nappy changing duty the contents were, well you are a Dad, you don't need that much information. My mate starting humming "Mellow Yellow."

i have changed thousands of nappies.. they were more toxic chemical waste rather than mellow...

One of the many advantages of not doing Facebook is, you don't get to see the photo a new baby's poop that excited parents can't wait to share with the world. There are some seriously weird people out there.

Perhaps I've been a bit harsh, go on, lust over Marinas and Sherpas. But don't expect me to join in, ugh, perish the thought. They were pug ugly new and the years have not been kind. In a search for something MG related, I stumbled across a forum that's for those who prefer their cars new, or at least newish. This is what one member said of a facelift to SAIC's excuse of an MG. He's talking about the MG3.

A little bit disappointed that no new engines. no turbo version, no real facelift, but not overly surprised. The car already looks great anyway, but more features such as satnav (as B&G are selling) would have been nice.

The car looks great, pass the smelling salts, the car looks like a little box, just like all the other little Euroboxes, the only differing feature is the manufacturers badge. Give it twenty or thirty years and I suppose somebody here will wax lyrical about it, after all, that's what they do about B/L's old bangers.
