Actually, you are not wrong. I did like the second incarnation of the MR2, had a baby Ferrari look to it, but two seaters are for teenagers or early twenties. It's why, although I've always loved the MG TC, I still didn't get one, got the boring saloon version instead. As for that Celica, my missus was so in love with those that she nagged me to buy her one. At the time, there was a some defect that kept occurring, it was in all the press. I hired one for her, got a really good deal on a month's hire. Maybe it was because it was a hire car that had been thrashed, but it broke down twice, on the third occasion, they changed the car. "Do you still want one?" I asked, "Or would you like the BMW 525? She had the
Beamer. It was a series two.

Because I'd be cruel to use that as regular transport and leave it standing on the drive when I'm out in the Corolla. That Sunny should really be garaged, wrapped in velvet blankets and spoon fed the very finest fuel from a wooden barrel.

On the other hand, it's not
ridiculously expensive for what it is and I could preserve
and use it as I do with my soft & comfy 1990 lukewarm hatch.
Dammit, no, the Datsun deserves better!

OK, so maybe that ought to have read thus:

Gotta love a green Alpine.
