youtube

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

You remember the scene in Gone in 60 Seconds (remake) where Nicholas Cage jumps his Mustang over a queue of traffic using a recovery vehicle as a launch ramp.
It actually works (sort of)

 If Carlsberg did mini flip fronts..

One thing that baffled me; why would they risk using a two piece propshaft? OK, the safety aspect is obviously significant given the general standard of the build but with that stout a tunnel, would there be any real risk of the shaft coming through if (may the spaghetti monster forbid) someone were to stuff the car? That shell could probably be dropped on its nose from up aheight, directly into solid concrete and the chances are that the occupants' legs would still work afterwards.

I'm having a couple of the mugs and shirts. That way, when the next episode airs, I can look at it and claim to have funded a couple of the valve springs that went into that incredibly clever, yet simple die that they built to make the slots in the scuttle.
Or I would, had that not already been built. Hmm, maybe my purchase will fund half a litre of the contact solvent that they didn't use to remove the BMIHT labels from the front end outer panels? Seriously now; would anyone here have used an angle grinder to do this? I bet that geezer is so hard that he uses caustic soda instead of Radox!

Internet law states that you can't have a video thread without a spot of Bob "The Tray" Blackman giving his famously masochistic rendition of "Mule Train," so here he is:

https://youtu.be/i8IbvVTXOIo

Please excuse the line whistle in that clip. Saying that, if you're old enough to remember Bob The Tray on Opportunity Knocks, then you're most probably sufficiently dull of hearing for the line whistle to be outwith the range of sounds you can hear.. :D
